Dr Cam O'Beirne
Dr Cam O'Beirne is a wine marketing academic and full time marketer, designer and strategist to a number of wineries in the south west.
He teaches at both the Edith Cowan U campus in Bunbury, and Curtin U in Margaret River. Subjects he has taught include; principles of wine marketing; wine business development; as well as strategic information systems in the MBA course. He has also been the Course Coordinator for the Post Grad Wine Marketing Program at ECU.
Cam's PhD is in internet marketing and strategic organisational management. He has a wide range of experiences with different clients, ranging from international project management, Federal and State Government bureaucracies, and providing expert advice to commercial entities in eCommerce, wine marketing and supply chain intermediation. Most recently he consulted to the Dubai Government on a large scale tourism initiative.
Oustide of working in the wine industry, Cam coordinates the Margaret River Surf Rescue service and (tries) teaching sons Max Power and Archie George to surf.
Charlotte O'Beirne
Charlotte O'Beirne began working in the Margaret River Wine Industry in 2002, charged with organising Margaret River's first Wine Show, an event management feat that has established itself as an important part of the Margaret River Wine Industry.
With a degree in Business Administration from one of the UK's top schools of management, the University of Bath, Charlotte worked in the UK FMCG industry growing markets, launching new brands, and streamlining processes for both Unilever International and Procter & Gamble.
For 5 years Charlotte worked at Stella Bella Wines, one of Western Australias most recognised wine brands. As the Sales & Marketing manager she established new markets domestically and overseas, worked with distributors to grow sales by over 350% and helped to establish the brands of Suckfizzle, Stella Bella and Skuttlebutt in the minds of the wine public.
At Free the Wine, Charlotte's wide range of experience is available to assist clients to increase wine sales including marketing plans and budgets, sales tools, promotions, launching new wines and working with distributors to develop new and established markets worldwide.
Chris King
Chris King has worked as a business analyst and database architect for seven years, during which time he has provided IT solutions across supply chain, government, health, finance, and utility sectors.
As a business analyst, Chris' approach of combining analytical skills with 'out of the box' creative advice has provided clients with the functional and technical designs necessary to satisfy their e-commerce requirements.
His technical expertise as a database architect has enabled clients to put in place the solutions required for structuring, accessing and reporting important management information in an efficient and effective fashion.
His early days were spent cycle racing where he spent three years based in France, a time which proved equally valuable as an introduction to quality wine. Now married with 2 boys under 6, Chris is used to staying up all night finishing work for our clients!
